The U.S. Department of Energy offers up to $5,000 tax credits on first-time purchases of “Zero Energy Ready” homes. What is this program about?
A “Zero Energy Ready Home” is a high-performance home that is so energy efficient that a renewable energy system could offset most or all the home’s annual energy use. Each home meets rigorous efficiency and performance criteria and are verified by a qualified third-party as part of the certification process.
Certified eBuilt homes are eligible to receive the Federal 45L Tax Credit – up to $5,000 per home, until 2032.
